A Call for Help

I am a dismal failure in the kitchen. I am not creative at all!! I make up for this in others areas of my life however now that my hubby is working a second job he is not home in the evenings to create his tasty meals. My kids cannot exist on Ramen and Mac & Cheese. So, I am asking my dear friends to post their favorite recipes, more than one if you have them! This would help me out so much! I will be eternally grateful. I'll take you all out to lunch or come clean your houses or whatever if you could give me some ideas for good, simple, healthy meals.

Thanks!!

I don't have recipes really. Just things I remember and try to duplicate. No one eats those things except Dennis. My kids are picky and boring so I am not any help. I can't wait to steal some ideas from your friends!

there is this great magazine put out by taste of home, it used to be called quick cooking, but I thing they changed the name- it is great, I got this recipe from there:
Bacon-wrapped Chicken
6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 carton (8oz) whiped cream chees with onion& chives
1 TBSP butter or maragarine
salt to taste
6 bacon strips

Flatten chicken to 1/2 in thickness. Spread 3 TBSP cream heese over each. Dot with butter and sprinkle with salt, roll up. Wrap each with a bacon strip. Place, seam side down, in a greased 13X9 inch baking pan. Bake, uncovered at 400 for 35-40 minutes or until juices run clear. Broil 6 inches from heat for 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

make sure the juices are running clear- it always takes me longer than 5 min to get the bacon crisp, and it is really great when you serve it with some of the drippings poured over top.

I LOVE easy, this is great for company (I think)

Taco Soup (makes a lot)
2 lbs hamburger
1c. chopped onoin (or 2 TBSP dried onion)
2 cans tomato sauce
2 cans 15 oz diced tomato w/ green chili peppers
2 cans corn (drained)
2 cans small red or white beans (really any beans will do)
brown hamburger, add onion and brown until tender (if fresh onion) add everything else and heat through (I heat to boiling and then let simmer about 10 minutes) serve over frito chips, and add sourcream on top (it's great in the crockpot too.

I love the idea! I will try and post a new one every month! That sounds like fun! If you get any good ones, I'd also love to have any new ones I can get! ;)
